Emily and I had two sessions together. One in late summer and one in the fall. As you can see by these photos, both sessions were equally beautiful. The only complaints I get is "How am I going to choose".  I hope you enjoy this preview!

Emily's session started up on the hill at her home. The scenery loaned itself to some great props and the view was phenomenal! I chose her soft colored outfits to blend with the warm afternoon sunshine.

We traveled down into the valley to her family farm. This girl rocked her Daisy Duke shorts, plaid top and boots! The year before I shot her sister who had a hot pink plaid shirt that we also shot in the wheat. Both photos are going to look awesome hanging on a wall beside one another.

No farm session would be complete without a girl's beloved stead and a big red barn. The lighting just got better and better as the summer sun began to set over the Blue Mountains!

The Grande Ronde Valley is scattered with Sunflower fields with cool running creeks and rickety bridges! This old yellow farm chair sat in my kitchen for over 10 years until I finally noticed it as a great prop! Funny where you find things sometimes.

An All American Girl! I'd just bought this flag at a local antique shop that day and one of the tank tops (seen in the middle) Emily brought just happened to have an American Flag on it. How coincidental is that? I never limit a senior's outfits for that very reason. You never know what they've stuffed in a bag that would go perfectly in a scene.

Fall is the most favored time of the year for senior pictures in Easter Oregon. It's probably the shortest season  but the colors and lighting make it a photographer's dream. Cool enough to add tons of layers but warm enough to  dip some toes in the river. Thank you Emily for making my job so enjoyable.

Senior Kickoff https://onthespotphotography.zenfolio.com/blog/2012/7/senior-kickoff HB-107-Edit Wow! I can't believe it's already senior time again. It seems like just last week we were watching the Class of 2012 throw their caps in the air. Now, in less than a month, a fresh new batch of graduate wannabees will be struttin' their stuff in the hallways eagerly anticipating great events and lifelong memories. So, I wasn't quite ready to kick-off the new season after a VERY busy 2011-12, but I kept driving by this beautiful hillside of purple imagining the perfect senior sitting there on one of my new props! So, Thank you Hannah for coming out with me last minute to capture Eastern Oregon in full bloom. You are a trooper, especially when the lightning and thunder started doing the tango all around us!
